What are the Categories of Awards?
Awards are presented in each of three categories at each conference location (Peoria and St. Louis):
• 1-100 Employees
• 101-250 Employees
• More than 250 Employees
What are the Benefits of Winning?
Affirmation. It is a dynamic way to affirm to your employees, clients, vendors, and to the business community at large, that your company is committed to being one of the best organizations to work for.
Credibility. It increases credibility among potential employees. Being named an AAIMEA Employer of the Year is a powerful recruitment tool in the drive to attract and retain exceptional employees.
Exposure. Winners will be recognized publicly at our annual Strategic Directions Conference, in our print newsletter, electronic newsletters, and on our websites.
Visibility. AAIMEA will prepare and send press releases about the winners.
Recognition. Winners are presented with a beautiful trophy suitable for lobby display.
Who is Eligible to Participate?
AAIM EA members in good standing at the time of the nomination are eligible to participate in the awards program.
What is the Award Selection Process?
This is a self-nomination process.
Applicants are required to identify programs and initiatives currently in place within their organization in each of five categories: Effective Communication, Employee Input, Employee Development, Work/Life Balance, and Culture. In addition, applicants must describe in detail an HR Best Practice that has been undertaken and adopted within the organization.
An Awards Committee composed of volunteer executives and previous award winners will evaluate and score the applications and determine the winners.
AAIMEA representatives will visit winners prior to the award presentation to conduct an interview and tour facilities.
