High-Impact Performance Management: Why Coaching Matters
Organizations today are experiencing an unusual confluence of events: a slow recovery from a deep recession, the rise of a younger generation that wants more rapid promotions, pay for performance and clear career paths, and the globalization of the workforce. To address these challenges, the majority of organizations have transitioned to using a coaching and development model of performance management. The challenge? Most organizations struggle with effective coaching – senior leaders do not do it frequently and managers do not do it well.
In this session, Bersin & Associates’ Vice President of Research Kim Lamoureux shares the top 10 findings from our nearly year-long inquiry into designing an effective performance management strategy. She also will share examples from a range of companies that have successfully implemented emerging Performance Management best practices to drive innovation and growth.
What will be Covered:
•The six steps to creating a performance management strategy
• How managers with strong coaching skills improve business and talent results
• Creating a clear performance management structure and empowering employees for effectiveness
